No significant changes in activity have occurred over the past few days, and are characterized by ongoing explosive volcanic eruptions, as reported by the local volcano observatory Instituto Geofísico (IGEPN).
The volcano continues to produce vulcanian-type explosions from the summit crater, accompanied by an almost continuous plume of ash reaching approx. altitude of 15,000 feet (4,600 m).
Lava flows emitting on the northeast flank remain active.
The collapsed section of the stream produces an avalanche of glow, which detaches from it and rolls down the slope.
