SEARCHPRESENTATION: CHURCHES FOR MIDDLE EAST PEACE BY JENNIFER MAIDRAND
Join Churches for Middle East Peace's (CMEP) Outreach Manager, Jennifer Maidrand, for a conversation about peacebuilding and advocacy related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. She will discuss the importance of the American church's engagement in advocating for human rights in Israel and the Palestinian territories and share updates from CMEP's work on the ground in the Middle East and here in the U.S.
Jennifer Maidrand serves as the outreach manager at Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP). She is a Ph.D. candidate in Bible and Cultures at Drew University, where she also earned her M.A. Her research focuses on how biblical interpretation and archeology have shaped the contemporary land of Palestine-Israel and its geopolitics. She is a member of the UCC Church and is committed to fostering interfaith and intercultural community education and dialogue around sacred texts, the earth, and politics. Jennifer has fond memories of Claremont UCC as her first UCC home.
