This weekend, people in China will be marking Chinese New Year. A charity which supports persecuted Christians around the world has said this time should be a reminder of how China is using rapid advances in surveillance technology, to crackdown on believers in Christ. Paul Robinson is the CEO of Release International – he said “the officially atheist Communist Party portrays Christianity as unpatriotic and pro-Western, and therefore a threat and what they can’t control they seek to eliminate.”
